The following information and photograph was provided by Port Chester Fire Department… We proudly standby our Brother and Sister members from neighboring departments. We are proud to serve alongside you.

* 2nd Alarm Structure Fire *

Last night around 9:48pm Port Chester Fire was dispatched to 359 North Main Street for a reported structure fire, TL-2 & R-40 were first units to arrive, TL-2 immediately transmitted a 10-75 for a heavy amount of fire in the rear of the building.

As crews made their way to the rear of the house, it was quickly realized the fire had traveled up the the entire rear of the house and into the rear of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors. Car 2391 transmitted a 2nd alarm bringing additional fire department units in to help extinguish the fire. Port Chester Firefighters, along with mutual aid companies were able to stop the fire from extending further into the house and the two structures on both sides of the house.

The fire was brought under control within the hour, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Westchester County Department Of Emergency Services Cause & Origin Team, with the assistance of the County Police K9 Arson Team.

As always we would like to thank all of our mutual aid assistance, these departments play a major role in assisting at our fires and covering our village during times of need and are truly appreciated.
