On Tuesday August 4th, 2020, the Village of Mamaroneck received a direct hit from Tropical Storm Isaias. As a a result of the storm the Village sustained wide spread damage with hundreds of trees being uprooted, personal property being damaged, and a majority of the Village residents going without power for upwards of a week after the storm hit.

During the storm, the members of the Village of Mamaroneck Fire Department, in conjunction with our emergency service partners from the Village of Mamaroneck Police Department and Mamaroneck EMS, worked consistently through the storm and afterwards by responding on hundreds of calls for service to the residents of the Village. Luckily there were no major injuries to report. However, many residents of our village did sustain damage to their property.

In addition, we would be be remiss if we did not mention the Village of Mamarneck DPW who worked tirelessly to clear up get Mamaroneck running again. This was a 24 hour/7 day per week endeavor. Had it not been for our DPW partners, Our responder's would have not have been able to respond and render care and service to those who needed it.

Lastly, we must acknowledge all of the power crews that came from all over the United States and Canada, to assist. Again, without their efforts, we would not have been able to help all who we vow to assist.

This was a team effort through and through!!!

Wishing all the very best!

The Chiefs,Officers, and Members of the Village of Mamaroneck Fire Department.
