On August 23rd, 2019, FF Matt Ciccarelli of Union #1 of Mamaroneck and Rye Neck Hook and Ladder Co#1 graduated Basic Military Training for the United States Air Force. Matt's current rank is Airman First Class (A1C) and his Air Force Specialty job will be a Fire Protection Apprentice (3E711). For the next few months Matt will be at Goodfellow Air Force Base in San Angelo, TX., which is where the Department of Defense holds its fire academy for all military branches. During this time, Matt will be trained on structural firefighting, emergency medical responses, principles of HAZMAT, and aircraft firefighting.

In his civilian life, Matt in addition to being a valued member of the Village of Mamaroneck Fire Department is also a member of FDNY EMS where he works as a Emergency Medical Technician ( EMT) in the Bronx.

We would like to congratulate and send our sincere appreciation and best wishes to Matt on a safe and healthy military career.
