Mamaroneck Village FD rescues a Mamaroneck teen trapped under van in 'freak accident'

On Monday, August 21 just before 9 am the Village of Mamaroneck Volunteer Fire Department was called to Mamaroneck High School on Palmer Ave for an auto accident in which it was reported a person trapped under the vehicle.

Upon arriving on the scene & accessing the situation Capt. James Barney and Lt. James Foti were able to quickly rescue the trapped girl from under the vehicle with a help of recently purchased rescue equipment mainly a piece of equipment called TL-9, which was designed for this type of rescue event.
